Kawasaki 2010 CONCOURS™ 14

The biggest change is immediately apparent: All-new bodywork not only gives the new Concours 14 supersport tourer an even more aggressive demeanor, it’s also designed to channel more heat away from the rider for increased comfort.

Fuel economy assistance works in any gear, as long as rpm is below 6000, throttle opening less than 30 percent and speed less than 80 mph.

KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control): Kawasaki’s first traction control system reduces engine output when wheel spin is detected, allowing the rear tire to retain grip.

* Advanced, 3-way control (airflow, ignition timing, fuel delivery) gives KTRC smooth

operation, natural feel  and the ability to operate on long stretches of bad road
* KTRC adds no weight, since it uses the existing ECU and ABS sensors.

VARIABLE HEATED GRIPS,
RADIAL-MOUNT PETAL-TYPE FRONT DISC BRAKES,
FULL INSTRUMENTATION,
STANDARD CENTER STAND,
CALM COCKPIT,
MORE WIND PROTECTION,
ORGANIC DESIGN,

ARRIFLEX 416 Plus

The ARRIFLEX 416 Plus HS is a lightweight, modern Super16 film camera with a 35-style viewfinder and an amazingly low sound level similar to that of the ARRICAM. Its speed range is from 1 to 150 fps and its mirror shutter can be manually adjusted from 45 to 180 degrees.

To capture the images you want, you have first to see them clearly. So viewfinder quality is crucial if an operator is to accurately appraise images, especially with 16 mm. The optical viewfinder on the 416 cameras makes it easy to judge focus, create a precise image composition, and work comfortably and efficiently.

The viewfinder optics have been redesigned from the ground up, incorporating fewer lens elements of higher quality and a shorter optical path. The results are significantly higher contrast, higher resolution and a brighter image. With the 416 cameras, judging focus on the set becomes a lot easier, and unpleasant surprises during dailies a lot less likely.

The 416 cameras' viewfinder ergonomics are based on the ARRIFLEX 235 viewfinder so they share the same freedom of movement and features.

The 416 weight has been reduced by an amazing 25% in comparison to the 16SR 3, when comparing a configuration including body, viewfinder, IVS and magazine. When comparing the 416 Plus to a 16SR 3 with UMC-3, the difference is even greater. The 416 cameras' shape has been designed to make them as compact as possible and to give them a low profile. At the same time shape and weight are perfectly balanced for comfortable shoulder operation.

The cameras can be removed from a zoom lens/tripod configuration in two quick steps: open the lens mount, split the bridgeplate and the camera slides off. The second assistant can then dismantle the zoom lens while the operator is already shooting handheld.

Review of 2012 Movie

2012 is a 2009 disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich. The film has an ensemble cast, including John Cusack, Amanda Peet,Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson.

2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments.

To say that 2012 is the 'mother of all disaster movies' would be both a true statement and an insult to disaster movies. It cannot be denied that for wholesale destruction and death count this film has it all, bar the actual planet exploding like Alderaan being hit by the Death Star. But in doing so, 2012 teaches the viewer that gluttony is not a healthy virtue by any account.

So the end of the world occurs in the year 2012, just as the Mayans predicted. During this event, an Ordinary White American Divorced Family Man (played by John Cusack) fights to save his family whilst navigating a series 'talking' scenes (mostly people crying into telephones) which link one stupendous, special effects-riddled, scientifically-implausible, action sequence after another. Danny Glover turns up as the President of the USA.

It's hard to put a finger on what hurts this film the most: the fact that, at an unrelenting 158 minutes, your eyes actually get tired of seeing things blow up and irritating people perish, or that the film only serves up the same special effects and migraine-inducing sound design you've seen and heard before in far better movies, just cranked a few notches higher.

2012 definitely delivers what it promises: mass-death, destruction, mayhem, all white-washed into PG-13 entertainment. Anybody who enjoys this particular genre will get their money's worth but those with a nose for plausibility may find themselves weeping into their popcorn by the end.
